  1. Jaipur – The Pink City

The capital city of Rajasthan is the largest district both in area and tourism. The city has both heritage and modern zone. The city has so many places to visit in Jaipur – Amber Fort, Nahargarh Fort, Jaigarh Fort, Amber Lake, Hawa Mahal, City Palace, Albert Hall Museum, Jantar Mantra Museum, Jal Mahal, an elephant village, zoo, gardens, light & sound show over forts, local Bazaars and holy shrines & temples for all religions. 

  1. Jaisalmer – The Golden City

The city is renowned for the second largest desert in the world – The Thar Desert. The famous Jaisalmer fort – Sonar Qila, is now home to several families and shops. The desert region offers camel safari, jeep safari, sunset over dunes, local folk dance, and music. There are magnificent forts, Havelis, Jain temples, Nathmalji ki Haveli, Patwon ki Haveli, Salim Singh ki Haveli, Manak Chowk, Jaisalmer Folklore Museum, Bada Bagh and delicious Rajasthani food.  

  1. Udaipur – The City of Lake

The whole city is covered with mesmerizing lakes and forts around it. The city is also known as the Venice of the east. Fateh Sagar and Lake Pichola are the largest man-made lakes. The city has many lakes, a collection of Havelis, museums, gardens, royal residences, boat riding, old temples, and art collections.  

  1. Jodhpur - The Blue City

An extension of royalty, the city is filled with mighty forts, old temples, palaces, and tasty food. Mehrangarh Fort, mirrored hall, Zanana Deodi, Chamunda Mataji Temple, Jaswant Thada, Umaid Bhawan Palace, Bal-Samad Lake, Kailana Lake, Mandore gardens, and Rao Jodha Desert Rock Park are the main attractions of the city. 

  1. Ajmer 

Nestled in the hills of Aravalli, Ajmer is one of the most beautiful destinations in Rajasthan for tourists. The city is a perfect blend of culture, religion, heritage, and harmony. The most famous Muslim shrine – Ajmer Dargah Sharif is the most famous attraction here. The city has Ana Sagar Lake, Naag Pathar ranges, Nasiyan Jain temple, Adhai Din Ka Jhopra, Abar’s Palace & Museum, Clock Tower, Nareli Jain Temple, Prithviraj Smarak, Taragarh Fort, etc. Near Ajmer, another holy village for Hindu devotees is there – Pushkar village where you can visit the only Brahma Temple in the world, ancient temples, annually held Pushkar fair, safari, and shopping for handicraft items.

The only hill station in Rajasthan and that too is in the middle of the enormous desert and drought-ridden plains.   1. Bikaner – The City of Forts

The city has several forts, palaces, temples, and a collection of ancient buildings. The city is also known as “the camel country” because of the popular bread of camels and the camel festival held annually. The famous attractions of the city are Junagarh Fort, Lalgarh Palace, Laxmi Niwas Palace, Karni Mata temple, Laxmi Nath Temple, National Research Centre on camels, Rampuria Haveli, Ganga Government Museum rich cuisines and handicrafts. 

Popular Wildlife Parks and Sanctuaries 

Rajasthan state is also rich in flora & fauna lives and is house to various rare animal and bird species. There are many national parks and sanctuaries such as Ranthambore National Park, Mukundara National Park, Keoladeo National Park, Sariska National Park, Darrah National Park, Machiya Biological Park, Keladevi Wildlife Sanctuary, Mount Abu Wildlife Sanctuary, Nahargarh Wildlife Sanctuary, etc. All the parks and sanctuaries are renowned in the world and must be visited by wildlife tourists and photographers.
